Welcome to the New Children’s Library Starry Cone

Two new stars were recently born at the Hercules Library Starry Cone! This marks the completion of our spaceship/space themed early literacy and play area. Numerous wall panel installations and early literacy manipulatives provide an interactive, educational and safe area for younger children of all abilities and needs. These literacy toys are tactile, attractive and accessible to everyone. The Hercules Library Foundation funded this remodel thanks to the contributions of many generous donors over the past several years. The wall panels were designed and installed by the Burgeon Group in collaboration with our fantastic Hercules Library manager and staff. This all-inclusive space welcomes children of all abilities into a safe learning environment no matter their abilities or background. You are welcome to drop by any time the Library is open!

 

A very special thanks to Soroptimist International of Richmond for awarding us a $3,000 grant to help fund this transformation!

On December 5, 2019, we were also very pleased to accept a $3,000 check from SaveMart at our local Hercules Lucky store to fund the Starry Cone.   Thank you for supporting our local Hercules community.
